After Keira was born, I spent the summer at my friend Trina’s house creating a scrapbook for my baby girl. The time and effort was well worth it as the book is freaking amazing. (Ask me to see it when you’re over. Us scrapbookers love to brag about our cutting and pasting talent.)
.
For years I had good intentions to create a “real” scrapbook for Caden as well. I even did a lot of the prep work – printing pictures, selecting the background papers, making a list of each page I wanted to include in the book. Then sat my prep work just waiting for a chunk of uninterrupted time for me to get to work.
.
That never happened.
.
I made a very important decision to free myself from the burden of creating a 1990’s-style baby book and instead created a very cutting-edge digital book. Once I came to peace with this choice, I never looked back!

Friends, just because you’ve always done something one way doesn’t mean that you can’t change. It’s ok to evolve and shake things up. Free yourself to do something brand new. Heck, free yourself to skip doing something at all! But whatever you do, do not place unnecessary guilt on yourself for the decisions you make. Like creating a less time-consuming, cheaper version of a baby book for child #2. Take a look!

Loved looking at these precious pics! 💗
