Christmas Cards 2012

2012 was a big year. And not just because an aerialist successfully crossed Niagra Falls on a tightrope either. 2012 was the first year that our family sent out holiday cards [woot-woot].

Immediately upon receipt, people were emailing, texting and posting on Facebook to tell me how much they loved them. Me. Not Jeff. He was pretty offended by this (accurate) praise of my brilliant creative vision, execution and delivery. After all, he played a really important role. He made a silly face upon command and then he looked at said photo card when it arrived at our house after I opened the envelope for him. But today he was appreciative of the undeserved credit he received from a friend:

Hi Jeff, Hi Holly,

Just wanted you both to know that your Christmas card is displayed prominently at the top of our family room doorway — the clear victor in an ocean of otherwise forgettable seasonal-themed cardstock correspondences.
I guess what I’m trying to say is “This year, you win Christmas”  🙂
Hope everyone is doing well. Have a relaxing holiday!

Below are the other sweet compliments we received:

I absolutely adore your Christmas cards!!!! The best one I’ve seen this year. 🙂 You guys are adorable, all 4 of you. 🙂

Could not love your card any more!! So adorable!!

Hands down…Cutest Christmas card of the season!!!!

Loved the Christmas card! Adorable AND a cute design.

Oh. My. Gosh. Cutest Christmas card ever! 🙂

Lol! Just got your christmas card!! Love the card!

FYI…One of my love languages is words of affirmation, so the generous words from friends and family have been very appreciated. Thank you! And now I’m off to brainstorm next year’s seasonal-themed cardstock correspondence.
