💄 Makeup was tirelessly painted on her face daily. Tape provided the perfect non-invasive facelift. And her plethora of wigs would cover up the tape. She was magnificent!
🙉 The woman said the most outrageous things that could make a sailor blush. Ask me for examples sometime. The inter webs would pull my post if I included them here. 😂
💋Grammy adored her pet birds and showered them with baby talk and kisses leaving lipstick marks all over their little feathers.
🍴If she anticipated guests, she’d whip up two large lasagnas and a big ol’ sheet cake ready to overfeed her company.
🌙 Decades before her granddaughter began her career working with Buzz Aldrin, Grammy’s telescope lived in her living room and she’d share her solar system wisdom with anyone who would listen.
🤪 More than anyone else I know, she was silly and playful in a way that just made everyone in her presence feel more alive.
🎨 She was passionate about art and always willing to patiently teach me how to draw and paint before generously packing up a box full of her supplies for me to take home.
💌Without fail, her cards and letters had the message “God bless the mail carriers” written on the envelopes. She cared about everyone.
💁🏼♀️From my 17-year-old prom date to every waiter we ever had to the chaplain at her death bed, Grammy shamelessly flirted with every man she encountered.
🛍Never would you leave her home without bags full of possessions that she so selflessly gave away, sometimes taken right off her wall or back.
🙏🏼 A devout Catholic, she loved the church like no other. Her commitment and devotion was a true inspiration.
🎉No birthday present was coveted by her loving family more than hearing her hilarious birthday rap!
The world was forever changed when she went home to her Jesus. But I fully believe that a piece of her lives in each of us that she left behind. Together, we are making this world a sillier, crazier place. Rest in sweet peace, Grammy Ann!
