In another life, I would be living in California working in the entertainment industry. Not necessarily acting (though perhaps), but certainly something to do with the production and marketing of feature films and television. Jenna Fischer’s (you may know her as Pam from The Office) book is a how-to book of sorts. The Actor’s Life chronicles her experiences getting an acting education as well as the process of breaking onto the small screen. With a daughter who claims she wants to be an actor when she grows up, this book was a welcome education for me. I want to encourage my kids to pursue their dreams and not stomp on them before they’ve even had a chance to attempt to soar. Whether you want to become an actor, have a kid who wants to, or if you’re simply interested in behind-the-scenes thangs, this book is a very fun read.
